Berlin, November 15, 2022. Wunderflats, Germany’s market leader for temporary furnished housing, appoints Emmi Meurling as its first Chief Product Officer in the company’s seven-year history. She will primarily be responsible for the European and international scaling of Wunderflats’ product portfolio. With the start of Emmi Meurling, Wunderflats has thus completed its C-level and 2nd-level management to build a global business.
Emmi has over a decade of experience in product management. She spent most of her career at Berlin-based food startup DeliveryHero. There, as Director of Product Management, she played a key role in the company’s scaling and internationalization strategy. Most recently, she was Senior Director of Product Management at US tech company Care.com, where she was responsible for product development for all markets outside the US.
European expansion takes priority
Emmi Meurling joins Wunderflats at a pivotal time in the company’s evolution. “After seven years of corporate development, we are in a sense at a new starting point,” explains Jan Hase, co-founder and CEO of Wunderflats, commenting further, “Scaling our offering to nearly 700 cities in Germany, Austria and France, as well as the rest of Europe and beyond, requires a whole new level of complexity and professionalism. Emmi is a tremendous asset to us and will play a critical role in scaling Wunderflats into a global company.”
